Unscrew Humanity & Improve Capitalism, Humanatapilism

Autor Aaron R. Lema
en Limba Engleză Paperback
Unscrew Humanity & Improve Capitalism reads like The Communist Manifesto mixed with Mad Magazine. Author and mastermind Aaron R. Lema outlines his plans for the ideal economic path which he calls Humanatapilism. Humanatapilism is simply defined as, "improving fellow human beings quality of life through free market capitalism." Lema goes on to explain how a person and companies can follow this economic theory, putting heavy stress on donation as a way of increasing fellow human beings quality of life (Lema's goal is to raise $1,000,000 for charity through the sale of his book). Also included is a brief look at noted economists Karl Marx, John Maynard Keynes, and Adam Smith, that focuses on their respective "ism's" flaws. At roughly twenty five pages this slim volume packs a lot of information, and the author is conscience of backing up his theory. A formula is even included one can use to be sure they are donating enough without jeopardizing profitability. Just as importantly though, it's fun to read. Most readers are not interested in books on economics, the author even makes a joke alluding to this fact. The enjoyment comes from a pervasive sense of humor throughout the text keeping the mood light; it's not uncommon to find a word like butthurt mixed in with the author's anecdotes. Sometimes though, humor gets in the way of the author's writing. It's hard to take some of the author's subtler points seriously when hidden among jokes or audacious headlines. If readers can get past the occasional heavy-handed dose of humor they will benefit from an economic theory that is not only logical, but practical. Maybe with the help of Humanatapilism America can turn its economy around.
