Recenzii
There is certainly a lot to be said for Robinson's systematic approach that combines different types of evidence to address a bigger historical question. Her book will contribute to the development of a new historical model for the Roman expansion in Italy, which is its primary aim. The accessible language and ample illustrations make the study approachable also to nonspecialists.
Robinson's detailed discussion of the different classes of evidence builds up to an insightful and rewarding narrative of Larinum's transition from independent to Roman community....
