USDA Animal Care: Animal Welfare Act and Animal Welfare Regulations

Editat de Agriculture Dept. (U.S.)
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 28 feb 2017 – vârsta ani
Also known as the "Blue Book", this publication serves to improve compliance among licensees and registrants to enhance the consistency of inspections by USDA field inspectors.   ThisBlue Bookconsolidates into one source the AWA (Animal Welfare Act) and the applicable regulations and standards. These regulations insure that animals intended for use in research facilities, or for exhibition purposes, or for use as pets are provided humane care and treatment.  It also protects the owners of animals from the theft of their animals by preventing the sale or use of animals which have been stolen.  Lastly, it assures humane treatment of animals during transportation in commerce.   Field inspectors, animal research and exhibition facility managers, animal and pet owners, animal humane society activists, law school students pursuing research in animal law or animal health law, may be most interested in these regulations and standards in pet and animal care.
