Verses from a Garden, and Other Nature Things

Autor Carol Joan Campbell
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 15 mai 2023 – vârsta până la 12 ani
Carol Joan Campbell has been writing stories and poems for most of her life. But in her later years, as a mother-grandmother and great grandmother - she has found special joy in writing for children. In 1997, she wrote songs for a children's CD titled "Why Knot Play By The Rules". This CD is made up of songs that teach safety rules. Written for children and sung by kids, this is a great learning tool presented in a pleasant way. It includes rules warning not to play with matches, "Don't You Scratch That Match", being careful with pets "I Love Puppies and Kittens", etc. One of the songs concerning safety around swimming pools "You Don't Have Fins", won 4th place in John Lennon's international children's song writers competition that year. She hopes that all of you, children and adults, will enjoy the poems in this book, and perhaps see different views of flowers and nature. Grandmas and Grandpas are lucky, 'Cause when their children give birth, They welcome a glimpse of heaven, And get their own special angels on earth.

Notă biografică

In 1997, Carol Joan Campbell wrote songs for a Children's CD, "Why Knot Play By the Rules", teaching safety rules via music. "You Don't Have Fins" won fourth place in John Lennon's international songwriters' competition. In 2006, her book "Verses From A Garden, and Other Nature Things," viewed nature through children's eyes. In 2010, she wrote, "Between Webster and Me." Going through the dictionary, she chose words from A through Z and crafted stories expressing the different facets of each word and its range of definitions and usages. "The Devil on My Doorstep" written by she and her daughter, depicting two sides of a mental breakdown, was published in 2010. She has had many short stories published in a local magazine. Her last book on the market was "Death Speaks", a suspense murder novel. Now a sampling of many more of my stories and poetry, hopefully for everyone to enjoy.
