An award-winning children's book author, Barbara Leary writes about the weird and wonderful ways children experience the world. Barbara uses the magic of "once upon a time" to entertain her granddaughters, who inspired her first three children's books: Virginia Loves Dogs, Caroline and the Not-Mamma, and The Climbing Tree, which won first place in the Writer's Digest 2020 Self-Published Book Award in the category of Early Readers / Children's Picture Books. She also writes creative nonfiction and the occasional short story.
