The Captain prepared to destroy the message as he had been commanded to do, when he saw a tiny note at the bottom of the communication that was barely visible to the naked eye: Alert all members to the sudden and tragic loss of the USS Michigan and its crew. The Captain knew this message was not meant for his eyes, and he had almost overlooked it. Were he and his crew on a suicide mission? Would they be coming home or be a "tragic loss"?
