Waiting on God: Becoming What God Wants Us to Be
Autor Denis McBrideen Limba Engleză Paperback – 31 aug 2004
This book explores waiting for God as a process essential to the spiritual life. Through the scriptural stories of Abraham and Sarah, Elizabeth and Zechariah, Simeon and Anna, through Jesus' stoic waiting at his Passion and Death, through the anxious experience of loss by the disciples after Cavalry, and the anticipation of the Christian community for the arrival of the Spirit on Pentecost, Denis McBride shows how we are a people of hope destined to wait in faith and love for our redemption.
"Waiting on God" is an antidote for the anxiety, frustration, and isolation of a society often severed from a belief in God's promises. It gives reason for courage in the face of despair and desperation.
