Wake Up America
Autor John Sheldonen Limba Engleză Paperback – 31 mai 2006
This book is not political. It is a bi-partisan primer of guidelines to help restore the principles that have enabled the United States to become a great country. This primer is for all of us. If we are to continue to have a great quality of life and enjoy freedom, we must all change. Not just the President, Congress and our Judicial system, but each one of us. The book will set guidelines, area by area, for us to follow. The theme will always be the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
We remember the words of former President John F. Kennedy, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." Well said, Mr. President.
Good people are elected to congress and good people serve as President and in our judicial branch. The problem at all levels - City, State and Federal - is that our systems are outdated and have grown too complicated, too burdensome and are very inefficient. Not easy to fix, but we must fix it. The first reaction to change is often negative, but we must work through this and get the job done. So it's time to: WAKE UP WASHINGTONWAKE UP CONGRESS
WAKE UP THE JUDICIAL
WAKE UP ALL CITIZENS - The alarm is ringing for all of us. Have we become so self-indulgent that we can't hear the alarm? Have we forgotten the words of John F. Kennedy to serve your country? Other countries have failed because of the inaction of their leadership. If Nero fiddled while Rome burned, our leaders should take note of this. They should stop fiddling andswing into action. Elected officials who have been in office for several years should ask themselves these questions: What have I accomplished? What is different or better for our country due to my being in office? If they cannot think of anything, it is time for them to get to work or perhaps step aside and pursue another career.
