Joey Garrett was trying to make something of his life after his return from Vietnam. With his accounting degree, he was able to find a job with a large chemical manufacturer in Ohio. Problems erupted and his employer made a sudden disappearance, leaving him abruptly without employment. In desperation, he answered an on-line ad for collection personnel for an overseas firm. From this point, he experiences a variation of emotional moments, with his fiancee, his employer, his new friends and a troubling recovery after being shot. His near-death experience serves to make him a better person through maturity gained from old acquaintances and his realization that he could really make something of his life. It did not all end in Vietnam.
