R is a zombie, but its not so bad, he's learning to live with it. On one excursion to feed on the living - anyone not safely housed in the new fortified enclosures - R meets Julie. Unfortunately he meets her just after eating her boyfriend's brain, but for reasons he can't quite understand, he doesn't want to eat Julie, he wants to save her.
