Not only does this book give us an excellent idea of a child's point of view on small, insignificant matters but it is also a lot of fun to read. With a clever combination of satire and humor, the letters make an interesting read for those with an interest in Child Psychology, as here is a child who speaks her heart out without being lured by a carrot or frightened by a stick. Although these letters deal with the affairs of a family, Hafsa offers all of us many a point to ponder with regard to child treatment, training and education. The way she expresses her feelings is remarkable; it is full of perception, cynicism and satire. Certain portions of these letters are so heartwarming that one cannot but empathize with the writer.
