Mark Hammer Sr., Emeritus Professor of Civil Engineering, is a writer of Environmental Engineering publications in the United States and Saudi Arabia. During his long tenure as a professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Dr. Hammer also served as the Director of the Environmental Protection Agency Grant in Water Quality Control. Professor Hammer has taught at the King Fahd and King Abdulaziz Universities in Saudi Arabia where he conducted environmental engineering research in addition to his teaching responsibilities
 
Mark J. Hammer Sr. is an independent consultant in Lincoln, Nebraska, and Mark J. Hammer Jr., is with HDR Engineering, Inc.
