The Civil War was a very indicative war between two parties that disagreed upon human rights. The only humane way to live is to be free. This being 1862 the second Bull Run Battle was a decisive battle that changed the thought of the Mason family Who owned land along the Manassas Gettysburg Pass Way. The anger of the Mason family splint the Plantation Owners and the workers of the land apart, forcing the release of all the slaves except for two. Way Ward Life 2, A Time for War is a war story that explains the harsh facts of battle. It tells a story of Michael Mason Jr. who later changes his name to Colonel Michael Forgery. Starting in the War at the age of 13 he became an accomplished young adult who fought his way through the trials of the Civil War. A call back commander for the Vermont 3rd later an Artillery Operator for the infamous Vermont 6th. Having a son by Mary Preston his wife him and his son attend the 50th Anniversary of the Civil war battle of Gettysburg.
