We All Wore Blue is the true account of a youth soccer team in the Northwest that transformed over several seasons from being the Bad News Bears at the lowest level of recreational soccer into a highly successful club team comprised largely of immigrants from around the globe, representing sixteen different countries, most races and major religions.
The story tells how these many immigrant boys and their families bonded with the suburban middle-class white kids and families, coming together to overcome numerous challenges, adversity, conflict and racism.
Though they had little in common other than their love of the game, they became an extended family of sorts and learned to embrace one another and celebrate their differences on their path to winning two State Championships.
