This biography draws a new picture of one of the most important minds of the 20th century. For the first time ever, it evaluates the editions of disparate texts ("Dits et Ecrits") and of the comprehensive lectures at Collège de France ("Cours") by Michel Foucault (1926-1984) biographically, gaining new insights into the connection between work and life of the still influential philosopher.
