This book was written with the purpose of bringing to the attention of children the importance of good stewardship toward animals. In the story Max a small Jack Russell Terrier accidentally gets out of his backyard. It details the close calls he has while he is lost. Illustrating the importance of the protection animals need from us to keep from being injured or killed. Hopefully this story will help children think about being responsible pet owners. Annemarie Wilson was born in the Netherlands in 1956. Her family immigrated to the United States in 1960. At the age of 14 she and her family became Naturalized Citizens. She has been married for 31 years. She has 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren. Currently Annemarie has a dog that she rescued, a cat that her daughter rescued and two cockatiels. She also has a foster rabbit from the county shelter. Annemarie was a 4-H Club Rabbit Project leader for 6 years. For the past 10 years Annemarie has been a Graphic Artist doing advertising print work. She has always been artistic. She has won awards for her paintings. Also took Commercial Art and Illustration classes at a local Community College. And sold paintings on consignment at a country store in her area and at craft fairs. One of her goals in life was to write and illustrate children's books, which she is now fulfilling. Her intentions are to bring colorful books to her young readers that carry a message for them to think about.
