Notă biografică
Professor David Wilson, a former prison governor resigned from the Prison Service in 1997 in protest at the state of British jails. Since leaving the Prison Service he has worked as a Senior Policy Advisor to the Prison Reform Trust and now works as Course Director of the Diploma/Masters course at the University of Central England, Birmingham. He is co-author, with John Ashton, of What Everyone in Britain Should Know About Crime and Punishment. John Ashton is a television journalist and writer. He is also co-author of Cover-up of Convenience: The Hidden Scandal of Lockerbie. Douglas Sharp is Course Director of the Criminal Justice and Policing Degree at University of Central England, Birmingham. He is a former Chief Superintendent of West Midlands Police and is Editor of Police, Research and Management Journal.
