Alain Badiou is a professor in philosophy at the Ecole Normale Superieure, the College International de Philosophie, both in Paris, and at the European Graduate School, in Saas-Fee, Switzerland. In addition to being a political militant, a contributing member of Cahiers pour l'Analyse, and one of the founders of L'Organisation Politique, he is the author of a number of plays and novels, and three seminal philosophical works: Being and Event, Logics of Worlds and Theory of the Subject.
