'When I Was Young' is a book about lives of senior citizens living in the Dingle Peninsula when they were young. These stories cover many different topics such as school-days, past-times and life during the war. We are fourth year students in Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne in Dingle and we put this book together for an Enterprise Competition in our school. We went to the senior citizens' houses/day centres and we spent time with them listening to their stories and recording their information. From these stories we complied this book. From the outset we thoroughly enjoyed working on this project, gathering the many nuggets of information and spending time in the joyful company of the participants All of the people who shared these stories with us were very co-operative and patient, and we thank them most sincerely for sharing their wonderful stories with us.
