Ian Brandt and his two college roommates, Rick Cody and Steve James take a post college graduation trip to Key West where Ian meets attorney Mark Starnes. After twenty-one years together, Ian sits in his garden facing the overwhelming reality of being alone after Mark's sudden death. He is uncertain if he has the strength to move forward without him. But with the help of good friends and a life filled with wonderful memories of his time with Mark and with his two best friends, he moves through his grief and embraces his new reality in Charlotte, North Carolina and later in Key West, Florida.
