Notă biografică

Michael Stribling became a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 1992. He has worked in several mental health settings: private practice; foster care; group homes; community-based services for adolescents and their families; psychiatric triage and crisis intervention; and substance abuse treatment, most recently in a jail setting. As a musician, Michael first studied classical piano at age seven but switched to drums in 1964 when the The Beatles first came to America. He worked as a radio announcer in the early '70s for a station that featured what is now referred to as Classic Rock (Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, etc.). Michael toured with Johnny Mathis in the mid '70s and later worked in recording studios as a performer, composer, and audio engineer/producer. He also performed in several stage productions of musicals for a dinner theater company. After changing careers in 1981 to become a therapist, putting his music into mothballs, Michael returned to music in 2005, and has released over 10 instrumental new age music CDs, some of which have received awards.
Michael is also an educator and worked over 15 years as a faculty member and Lead Area Chair for University of Phoenix, in Fresno, California.
