A brief overview of Scandinavian style carving and instructions on how to customize patterns is also included.

Notă biografică

Harley Refsal is an internationally recognized woodcarver. He is a professor of Scandinavian Folk Art and Scandinavian Studies at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. He also teaches woodcarving at the North House Folk School in Grand Marais, MN. Since the 1980’s, he has taught thousands of carvers his style of flat-plan carving. He is the author of several books including Art and Technique of Scandinavian Style Woodcarving. His work has been featured in Celebrating Birch and in Wood Carving Illustrated magazine.
