Who the F*** Wants to be President

Autor Jj Walcutt, Sae Schatz
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 31 mai 2020
Why would anyone run for president? Everyone believes you need a big name, deep pockets, and partisan clout to even try-and with good reason. But does it have to be that way, and could a no-name scientist from Florida have a shot at the Oval Office? This is the story of finding that answer. It's part memoir, part critique, and part tell-all on some of the unwritten rules of American politics. Told by a psychologist and former civil servant, this book sheds light on the often-shadowed ecosystem of national politics, interwoven with JJ Walcutt's own experience campaigning across the fifty states. It's a book for anyone irritated with the current climate, for those wanting a glimpse at the inner-workings of our political apparatus, and for those looking for hope for our nation. It's a book about the American experience-in all its raw, irreverent, loving, surprising, and inspirational glory.

Notă biografică

JJ Walcutt is a scientist, mom, and thought leader who specializes in education, government, and military readiness. She has a doctorate in psychology and over twenty years of experience in research, particularly research on training and education. Before her daring idea to run for president, she reported to the Pentagon where she helped to direct an education initiative for the Department of Defense. You can check her professional book written during that time. It's called Modernizing Learning: Building the Future Ecosystem, and it's available from the Government Publishing Office. JJ has also served as a delegate to NATO and the Partnership for Peace, and she's worked as a Human Innovation Fellow under the U.S. Government's Office of Personnel Management. She published a book through that fellowship as well focused on her observations of the inside of government. It's called Innovating Government: Re¿designing the Executive Branch, and it's available on DTIC (Defense Technical Innovation Center). Whether at work or on the campaign trail, JJ is passionate about transforming government, inspiring people to get engaged, and thinking about strategic innovation-and perhaps challenging the notion that the status quo can't be altered.
