Recenzii

'Why Feminism Matters opens up many possibilities for re-thinking a feminist theory and praxis that is adept and making interconnections.' As an experiment in collective subjectivity, the text expands the horizons of feminism thinking in the present and offers suggestive tools fo further engagement.' Subjectivity
'Whatever happened to the women'smovement? Feminism has crashed since the heyday of its 1970's second wave, allegedly a dirty word to many young women...it is therefore encouraging to find [a book] that insists the situation of women is political' - Elizabeth Wilson, The New Humanist http://newhumanist.org.uk/2196/what-happened-to-the-womens-movement
'the clarity in which Why Feminism Matters attempts to reclaim what has been lost, suppressed and sidelined from our conversations about feminism, is nothing short of refreshing. In what can be considered bleak times for feminist theory and activism, Woodward and Woodward call for a clear and effective articulation of why a feminist initiative is not only still essential, but one that can work to combine earlier feminist goals with new ways of thinking and acting' -The European Journal of Women's Studies
