Many, many years ago the island of Skopelos was invaded by a gang of pirates who were so evil that they killed everyone on the island.Everyone, that is, except the witches who managed to escape by turning themselves into white foam on top of the waves in the sea that surrounded Skopelos.They watched and waited for centuries, until eventually all the pirates left the island and the ordinary people returned to live in little white houses on the hillside.At last the witches felt safe to return to their homes and one by one they moved back into their houses .Very few of the town people knew of them, and the magical powers they possesse
