Women of Grace

Autor V. L. Gordon
en Limba Engleză Paperback
This book takes an in depth look at numerous women whose lives are intimately revealed by God and recorded in the pages of His Word. These women represent a variety of lives: from paupers to royalty to hardworking women who tend sheep, the likes of industrial women who operated a business such as Lydia, to a handful of women who enjoy a leisurely paced life of luxury and pampering. There were some women who remained barren, while others were blessed with large families, some ladies found themselves entwined in unpleasant relationships and marriages like Abigail and Leah, or quite the opposite- happily married like Jacob and Rachel, or the infamous couple portrayed in Song of Solomon who enjoyed a godly marriage relationship. Yes, some biblical women possessed a personal relationship with God, through faith placed in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, while others chose to suppress any knowledge of God desiring to reject His will for their life, choosing instead to live according to their own self-will. Rebellious women mentioned in the Bible include woman such as Jezebel, Potiphar's wife, Queen Vashti, and Herodias whose rebellious ways and disregard for being obedient left their mark on the lives of both men and women in biblical times and today. Some women were erroneously elevated or noted worthy when measured against the loose moral standards of this world. Other woman chose to stand out for the things of God in sharp contrast to the dark standards of this wicked world, making a significant impact as they emanated the light of God into this dark world as they chose to live according to God's will and way for their life.
