LYNDA G. ADAMSON, Ph.D., is professor of English and chair of the English Department at Prince Georges Community College in Largo, MD, near Washington, DC. She has received her college's Faculty Senate Excellence Award for Teaching and is a member of the International Research Society for Childrens Literature.
