The world around us is truly a wonder; not only our created physical environment, but also actions by people and things which create emotions, moods, and attitudes that when properly described will give us mental pictures we could not have perceived before hand. This is where poetry comes in. It delves into the deeper meanings which quite often are missed by prose. Poetry is much like riddles which are offered for the interpretation of their sometimes mysterious meaning. It is not meant to explain as much as to provide an avenue for the reader to find one's own explanation. It's much like deciding ahead of time who the murderer is in a murder mystery book. This book of poems contains a little bit of history, humor, nature, and experiences from a child's perspective. Some poems are self explanatory but interesting. Others are constructed for you to figure out. Each is for an experience into a journey of thought seldom traveled.
