This Book is FIRST of the three volumes of "Worshipful Lectionary Reading for Joyful Service to the God's Mission." It covers spiritual reading, meditative reflection, and preaching according to the Christian calendar. Each week the readers may read the assigned Bible texts during their daily quite time, and reflect on sermons provided in silence. During the silence we may hear God's loving voice, we may feel real joy of being in union with God, and we may hear the call to discipleship. Then they may want share them in a small group or in the Bible study settings. This way of spiritual reading becomes a powerful means of spiritual discipline and practices, thus integrating the acts of piety and acts of mercy.Thus, we are deeply grounded in the love of God so that we may want to serve God joyfully with the unique gift God given to each Christian. As the joyful servant of God we can seal our covenant relationship and fulfill the purpose for which we have been made to live according to the way of Jesus the Christ.
