The man known as America Jack Phoenix inadvertently began his mid-life crisis at age seven. That is not to say that he only lived to age fourteen. As far as we know he was still going strong many good years after that. He was a cowboy of sorts. Restless, free, lonesome and surviving on just the basics. But this gave him time to reflect. Maybe too much time to ponder. He put it all to good use though by writing everything down and then moving on. Disappearing for nearly twenty five years America Jack Phoenix briefly re-emerged just in time to purge himself of his burden. All these pieces discovered and collected herein are believed to come from that twenty five year period. After that, no one knows what became of him.
