Zip Zip My Brain Harts

Leslie Swartz, Kathleen McDougall Fotografii de Angela Buckland
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 31 mar 2007
Written by researchers concerned with disability issues and supplemented with photography from the mother of a disabled child, this sensitive collaboration is a unique expression of the fullness of human experience, with all its joy, pain, and confusion. Some of the key questions addressed are What if disability was considered ordinary or everyday? What if disability were seen as just one of the many differences that already exist between people? What if disability were defined not simply as a physical or mental medical state, but were understood to be a societal problem—in terms of the reaction of other people to disability? This remarkable effort is designed to create a space for dialogue and provide families and healthcare professionals with a compassionate, understanding, and inspiring guide to ordinary people's real experiences.
