"Zombie Ranger: A New Beginning" is written in the style of a post apocalyptic western. While wandering alone, in a desolate wasteland our hero finds unexpected love and later a multi-talented side-kick to serve as his deputy. Life on the trail leads them to adventures with outlaw gangs, backwoods cannibals, religious cults, a greedy trader, hapless tree hugger survivors and herds of blood crazed zombies. After waking up from a three year blackout, R. S. Walker finds himself on a deserted Oregon beach. His last memory was entering the Bunker Bar in Incirlik, Turkey then everything went blank. As he makes his way across a devastated Oregon, he finds no signs of life where once there were people, cattle, and abundant wildlife. There are burnt out, abandoned buildings but no people. No human remains. No living creatures. He begins to believe that he is totally alone. That's when he discovers that there was a world-wide biological and nuclear war about three years before. Along with a few scattered bands of human survivors, zombies are all that are left. Walker finds a reason to continue living when he rescues a woman from a group of outlaws. As one adventure follows the other, he gradually begins to remember who is was before the fall of mankind. After a group of survivors appoints him "Zombie Ranger" he begins a quest to re-establish civilization in a post apocalyptic world. This is the first episode in the continuing saga of Walker: Zombie Ranger. "Zombie Ranger can best be described as a post apocalyptic western.
