**spoiler alert** Like all of Maas' books - the storytelling is wordy - which is what I have come to love about her style. It takes me through the highs and lows of Nesta, and although she isn't a beloved character (I did not like her at all in the first four books ) I somehow got to be insider her head and felt what it was like to deal with such heavy burdens. But, be that as it may, I still don't like her. I acknowledge what she went through and how she redeemed herself (it was rough) but she still won't make the cut of beloved characters of all time. Was it worth 700+ pages - yes. It was like meeting an old friend as I read the acotar books last year. Would I recommend it? Yes. Only if you have read the first three books - otherwise it would be a bit difficult to navigate Prythian and its lords and courts and why Tamlin is the way he is.
