Recenzii
J. Ann Tickner never rests on her laurels. Once again, she is pushing us here to think afresh about what it means to explore International Relations - who we are when we are doing it, when and where we are standing when we research, write, teach and learn. This is an invigorating feminist voyage. Don't miss the boat!
J. Ann Tickner's personal intellectual journey parallels the development of feminist IR over the past 25 years. No other feminist scholar has communicated as effectively and consistently the contributions of feminist theory to IR theory. This collection of Tickner's work, which assembles for the first time her work on the discipline, on method, and on contemporary issues, along with some new and insightful self-reflections on the development of the field, illustrates well the breadth and depth of her contributions to IR.
J. Ann Tickner's political project to transform mainstream IR has been a consistent one throughout her career, as this volume of some of her most important work amply demonstrates. With this collection we get to share part of the journey, a feminist voyage through which conversations, reflexivity and a more inclusionary global politics is being created.
