Bosworth now gives us a second instalment of his impressive commentary on Arrian's History. B.'s Commentary is now within sight of its end. When complete it will be a work of outstanding scholarship and a major contribution to the study of Alexander and of Greek historiography. It is based on a vast amount of careful, intelligent work and a close knowledge of Arrian's predecessors and the way they wrote and used the Greek language. One wishes its author all speed in bringing it to a conclusion.
