Notă biografică
Rosalind Mitchison was Professor of Social History at the University of Edinburgh until her retirement. She is author of several books on Scottish history including Lordship to Patronage: Scotland 1603-1745 (1990) and The Old Poor Law in Scotland: The Experience of Poverty (2000).
