Despite the growing drug culture in Jamaica, its reputation as a trans-shipment capital and its increasingly violent crime scene cannot be understood as narcoterrorism. While the drug culture does provide the druglords with economic benefits, their work is not affiliated with a political cause in the same way as drug barons in South American countries. This is a thoughtful exposition of the Jamaican crime scene and what needs to be done to bring it under control.
