When she was laid off in 2010 after more than ten years of service that she believed represented her greatest life accomplishment, she was crushed. In retrospect, she learned a valuable life lesson: if God is preparing us for a greater purpose, we don't get to decide how or when His plans will unfold, or even the people who will be sharing them with us. More lessons followed as she became her mother's full-time caregiver and as she learns now to live without her mother's earthly presence as her ministry expands.
