Recenzii
"This book contains many color photos printed with great clarity on highquality paper. Even the black-and-white pictures exhibit superior resolution. With 35 contributors, this volume collects work from the best and brightest research experts in UWB radar. It is a book that you must have for your research and engineering tasks."
—IEEE Microwave Magazine, August 2019 Issue
"The field of UWB has seen immense progress in the past decades, and Jim Taylor made a remarkable effort in summarizing it in a comprehensive book. The book shows how UWB technology can benefit all applications in radar. This is probably the main strength: its usefulness for a wide range of radar practitioners and researchers."
—Lorenzo Lo Monte, Telephonics, Dayton, Ohio, USA
"The topics presented in the book really go beyond common UWB radar technology as the analysis of the frequency content of the returned UWB radio echo can really give insights into the properties of target material rather than just detecting it. The book particularly addresses one of the main and most misunderstood or commonly neglected aspects of UWB radar as in this case, on the contrary to conventional radars, the target doesn’t just behave as a point scatterer but, because of the fact that the signal is shorter in length than the distant length of the target, a series of components can be detected into the echo signal which are target’s aspect dependent, thus carrying important information on target material itself. Exciting applications of UWB radars are possible due to this effect which the book is considering extensively."
— Enrico M. Staderini, Western Switzerland University of Applied Sciences and Arts
"This book will provide a comprehensive coverage of the recent advances in the theory, design, signal and image processing techniques, and essential applications of UWB radar. The topics covered in the twelve chapters are current-active areas of research in UWB technology, and the b
