Advances in Database Technology - EDBT '92: 3rd International Conference on Extending Database Technology, Vienna, Austria, March 23-27, 1992. Proceedings: Lecture Notes in Computer Science, cartea 580

Editat de Alain Pirotte, Claude Delobel, Georg Gottlob
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 11 mar 1992
These are the proceedings of the third Internationalconference on ExtendingDatabase Technology (EDBT) held inVienna in March 1992. The success of the 1988 and 1990conferences held in Venice suggested that there is room fora major international database conference in Europe everytwo years,to serve as a forum for presentation of newresults in research, developmentand applications extendingthe state of the art in database technology. The 1992 EDBT conference has attracted a lot of interest. This volume contains 33 papers selected from 220 paperssubmitted by authors from more than 30 countries, includinginvited papers by F. Bancilhon and R. Reiter. The volume is organized into sections on: visual interfacesand multimedia techniques, deductive databases, schemaupdatability, object-oriented databases, updating indeductive databases and knowledge bases, indexingtechniques, parallel processing, distributed databases, knowledge bases, transaction processing, and queryprocessing.
