Notă biografică

Abdelfatah Abomohra is Professor of Environmental Engineering at the Department of Environmental Engineering, School of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Chengdu University (China). He received his PhD in Phycology through a cooperation program between Tanta University (Egypt) and Hamburg University (Germany) funded by Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD). He performed postdoctoral research at Hamburg University and Harbin Institute of Technology (China). After graduation, he worked as Faculty Member at Tanta University, Jiangsu University (China), and Chengdu University. In 2022, he received the prestigious Alexander-von-Humboldt fellowship for experienced researchers.
His major is interdisciplinary of microbiology and environmental engineering. He has stupendous research experiences and infinite vision in the field of environmental science and biotechnology. According to Web of Science, he has published more than 150 SCI papers, most of which are in Q1 journals,with four highly cited papers. In 2020, he was nominated among the scholars who possessed Top-10 publications and citations at Tanta University and was selected into the World’s Top 2% of Scientists List by Stanford University. He published a valuable review article in one of the top energy journals, “Progress in Energy and Combustion Science” (CiteScore 59 and Impact Factor 35.3). His research group is primarily working on bioenergy production from different biomass feedstocks and wastes.
