American Odyssey

When two young Paleo-Indians choose love against the wishes of their clans, it means banishment and certain death-but Roxor, a Nenana, and Xoxa, a Ka-Tanana, see no future without each other.

Roxor falls out of favor with his people when he disobeys his father and endangers the group of women under his protection. Sentenced to an arduous expedition to gather stone for making tools, Roxor encounters a cruel, and previously unknown, clan. When he alerts his leaders to the threat of this warring tribe, they try to ensure their security by strengthening their alliance with the Ka-Tanana through an arranged marriage between Roxor's half brother and Xoxa.
