Two young Englishmen, like millions of other people were sucked into a war they did not understand and one which changed their lives forever. In rebuilding their individual lives on the huge continent of Africa, Kenya and Zanzibar provided the backdrop for adventure, revenge and romance. From the grasslands of the Massai Mara to the timeless island of Zanzibar, their lives were linked by an ancient Totem which gave them a bond and a belief that they could survive where many had fallen.
