Professor Dan M. Flisshas been nominated as Chairman of the Division of Otolaryngology, Head and NeckSurgery, and Maxillofacial Surgery Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and Facultyof Medicine, Tel Aviv University and is a scientific staff member of theDepartment of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Mount Sinai Hospital,Toronto and The University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is also a teaching andvisiting professor in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australiaand delivered the highly regarded Eugene N. Myers International Lecture on Headand Neck Cancer in 2008. Professor Fliss is a past president of The IsraelSociety of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He is an editorial boardmember of several prestigious journals, including Headand Neck and Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, and is on thereview board of six further journals. He is the author of some 160 clinical andscientific articles and 18 chapters in textbooks.
Professor Ziv Gil MD PhD, is a Barbara S. Goodman Endowed Investigator (ICRF) and theChairman of the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, and theHead and Neck Center at Rambam Healthcare Campus, Haifa, Israel. Professor Gilis the Director of the Aplied Cancer Research Laboratory at the ClinicalResearch Institute at Rambam and a Senior Member of the Developmental Biologyand Cancer Research Program, the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine and Research,The Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. He is also a study section memberof the Israel Science Foundation, Israeli Cancer Research Association and theBinational Israel-America Science foundation, and sits at the editorial boardsof the Head and Neck Journal, Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Skull BaseJournal, Operative Techniques in Otolaryngology and more. Dr. Gil isthe author of over 160 manuscripts and book chapters in basic science research andmedicine. This richly illustrated atlas, compiled by authors with extensive experience in the field, offers a step-by-step guide to the surgical treatment of tumors, and congenital diseases of the skull base and nasal sinuses. Particular attention is devoted to the various techniques employed for extirpation of tumors and reconstruction of the skull base and Paranasal Sinuses.
