Doc Dengenis has successfully three hundred contracts for K-16 teaching and classified employees for thirty-one years in Washington State, Mivhigan, California, and Oregon using a variety of styles of bargaining. He wrote the four bargaining prototype books, contract analysis, and bargaining surveys for all constituent groups as head of the bargaining program for the 75,000 member Washington Education Association for twelve years. Doc was responsible for all adspects and phases of bargaining, especially training, strategy advice, and drafting complex proposals. He earned his reputation as a master bargainer and closer of considerable expertise in Washington State. His area of expertise was resolving long, seriously deadlocked contract disputes with creative solutions. He is also the author of Advocacy Establishment of Rights and Collaborative Bargaining.
