Dr. Ehab Farag MD FRCA is Professor of Anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Director of Clinical Research in the Department of General Anesthesia, Anesthesia Institute, at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Farag trained in the UK where he received the Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists. Dr. Farag completed his training in anesthesia at the Cleveland Clinic and received his fellowship training in Neuroanesthesia in Toronto Western Hospital – Toronto University and Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Farag has published over 50 peer reviewed publications. Moreover, he edited and authored six books in neuroanesthesia, neurosciences, regional anesthesia and fluid management. Dr. Farag’s research is primarily focused in neuroanesthesia, regional anesthesia and fluid management.
Dr. Maged Argalious, MD, MSc, MBA, MEd is Professor of Anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. He is the Anesthesiology Residency Program Director and Director, Center for Anesthesiology Education at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Argalious completed his anesthesiology residency and cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic and is a Diplomate of the National Board of Echocardiography. Dr. Argalious has authored more than 50 publications and book chapters. His clinical and research focus areas include vascular and liver transplant anesthesia and perioperative echocardiography.
John E. Tetzlaff, M.D. is a Staff Anesthesiologist in the Department of General Anesthesia of the Anesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Tetzlaff is full Professor of Anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (CCLCM) of Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Tetzlaff graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1979. Residency training in Anesthesiology was at the Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, Virginia, achieving Board Certification in 1986, and recertification in 1994 and 2009. Dr. Tetzlaff isactive in all aspects of education, including undergraduate, residency and continuing medical education (CME). He has numerous publications, including two books and the usual mix of chapters, manuscripts and abstracts. His research interests are in regional anesthesia, orthopedic anesthesia, local anesthetic pharmacology, assessment of competency, substance abuse prevention, professionalism, anesthesia for gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures, and anesthesiology education. He serves as a reviewer or editorial board member for eight journals. He is chair of the CCLCM Medical Student Promotion and Review Committee and is a member of the Student Assessment Committee for CCLCM. Dr. Tetzlaff is Associate Director for Graduate Medical Education and a member of the Graduate Medical Education Council.
Dr. Deepak Sharma MBBS, MD, DM, is the Virginia & Prentice Bloedel Endowed Professor and Division Chief of Neuroanesthesiology & Perioperative Neurosciences, Departments of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine and Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA. He is also the Program Director of the Neuroanesthesiology Fellowship and Education Director of the Transcranial Doppler Laboratory at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA. Dr. Sharma has 60 peer reviewed publications and 15 book chapters. His academic interests include traumatic brain injury, stroke, transcranial doppler ultrasonography and neuroanesthesiology education.
