Recenzii
A book that delivers contemporary insight into the 'what', 'how' and 'why' of business analytics. It is an alternative or accompaniment to the 'how to do it' statistical guidance offered by other texts. The authors helpfully unpack the meaning of big data, tracing its history and explaining the power of business analytics in unlocking customer, citizen and organisational value from an increasing volume and variety of data and information. It equips you with the necessary insight into how you might build and deploy a business analytics infrastructure. It also addresses the ethical implications and unintended consequences as well as the benefits - a rarity in this field. This is why it makes a valuable contribution to advancing knowledge and understanding in what is now a priority domain for both industry and society.
This book provides an interdisciplinary perspective on a key topic for data-driven businesses. It covers technical aspects in an approachable manner as well as the governance and ethics of applying data analytics at scale in a business context.
A very timely book that provides pragmatic insight into the technical and non-technical aspects of analytics in a holistic format and fills a gap in the literature. The many practical examples from the real world bring the topics to life. An incredibly valuable resource for students, academics and practitioners alike.
