Cosmetic surgery (CS) has become popular and common in Hong Kong, especially with the emergence of beauty salons, to which clients have easy access. However, there was found to be too little support for those undergoing and becoming addicted to CS, and whose health is affected as a result. For example, frequent treatments and chemical products place stress on the eye and are closely related to a person's health in general. In addition, eyebrow beauty treatments are commonly available in Hong Kong salons and elsewhere. Recently, artificial fingernails have become very popular in Hong Kong. This book examines popular beauty products, trends and the effects that the beauty industry has on public health.
