Christmas Punch: Matthew Paine Mysteries, cartea 4

Autor Lee Clark
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 17 oct 2022
Everyone is dying to attend the Christmas gala-the event of the season-until one of the hosts turns up that way. Dead, that is. When a doctor is urgently summoned, Matthew rushes to help. But he's too late. Was the man murdered? Suspecting foul play, Matthew calls the homicide detective he's befriended, who confirms that suspicion. The senior partner in the law firm hosting the event was killed, but why? When Matthew signs on as a medical consultant to help with the investigation, is he targeted by the assassin or are some "accidents" merely that? Is his life in danger? One arrogant suspect undoubtedly had a beef with the senior partner, though he won't disclose what it was. Another harbors an unrequited love for the wife of the murdered man, over thirty years later. Are either of them guilty of killing him? You'll love Christmas Punch - the festive fourth book in Lee Clark's Matthew Paine Mystery series - because everyone enjoys a classic southern holiday whodunit mystery. Get it now.

Notă biografică

Lee Clark is a coffeeholic and a dark chocoholic who resides in North Carolina with spouse, two mostly grown children who are in and out, and a diminishing petting zoo of geriatric dog and cats. A North Carolina native, Clark is originally from Raleigh, with family roots in Virginia. Clark attended Campbell University, obtained a degree in Journalism from East Carolina University, and then a Master's in Technical Communication from North Carolina State University. After working in the software technology industry for over 20 years, creating and building highly technical user information for software developers, Clark decided it was time to pursue a true passion: fictional writing. The Matthew Paine character is a fictional character, though inspired by two very important men in the author's life, brother Sean and son Will. Both will see characteristics of themselves in the character and identify with some of Matthew's struggles.
