Notă biografică
M. H. Fulekar is a Senior Professor, Environmental Sciences and Joint Director (R&D), Center of Research for Development, Parul University, Gujarat, India. He worked as a Professor & Head, Life Sciences (Environmental Biotechnology), University of Mumbai (2002 to 2011) and as Senior Professor & Dean, School of Environment and Sustainable Development, Central University of Gujarat (2011-2019) & Director Central University of Gujarat. He also served as Vice-Chancellor (I/C), Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar. Fulekar possesses over 38 years of experience of in the research and teaching. He has published 350 numbers of research papers and articles in international and national journals of repute and has 2 patents in his credit. He is also an author of 15 books published by CRC, Springer, IK International, Oxford etc. He has guided 32 Ph.D. and 22 MPhil students in Environmental Biotechnology and Environmental Nanotechnology. As a Principal Investigator, he has completed Research Project: UGC, CSIR, BRNS, DBT R&D and Industrial projects. He was awarded ILO fellowship ILO/UNDP1985: ILO/FINNIDA; ILO/JAPAN. UGC – awarded BSR fellow (2018). He has achieved "Who’s Who" in Science and Engineering USA in 1998; and "Outstanding Scientist of the 20th Century" in 2000, from International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England. He is also a member of New York Academy of Sciences, USA. He is recipient of Education Leadership Award and International award for Environmental Biotechnology. Recently he has been awarded as Eminent Educationist. He has worked in various capacities in University Administration. Area of Research Interest: Environmental Science; Environmental Biotechnology: Environmental Nanotechnology. As an expert, he visited USA, Australia, Singapore, Bangkok Thailand, Hong Kong, Nepal etc.
Rama Shanker Dubey (born December 23, 1955) is serving as Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Gujarat at Gandhinagar, India. He has also served as Vice-Chancellor of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, Bihar, and Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur in India. He holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Biochemistry from Banaras Hindu University. For over 45 years he has conducted pioneering research on environmental issues focusing on soil salinity, water stress, and metal toxicity effects on key metabolic alterations in plants and has characterized many novel proteins/enzymes associated with stress tolerance. His work on the role of antioxidative defence mechanisms in combating drought and metals-induced oxidative damage in crop plants has been well recognized. He has over 173 scientific publications with 18,000+ citations, h-Index 47 and i10- Index 113. He has guided 32 doctoral students and has worked as a visiting scientist in reputed laboratories of Sweden, Germany, and Japan. He is the recipient of several national and international awards in Environmental Biochemistry and Biotechnology like the BHU Medal in 1976, Young Scientist Award in 1982, Swedish Institute Fellowship in 1989, Japan Society for Promotion of Science Fellowships in 1998, 2005, INSA-German Academy of Science Exchange Program Nominations in 1997, 2003, 2007. He is a Fellow of the Indian Society of Agricultural Biochemists, Biotech Research Society of India, and Bio-Ved Research Society of India. He is serving on the editorial board of the Journal of Agronomy and Crop Science and the Indian Journal of Agricultural Biochemistry.
